RAIDS IN BURMA
THOUSAND POUND BOMBS DROPPED ATTACK ON MAGWE AERODROME. ALL PLANES RETURN. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) RUGBY, February 17. An India communique states: “Last night Liberators attacked the Magwe aerodrome and dropped bombs, including a number of the 10001 b. type. Many bursts were observed on the target. Yesterday Blenheims attacked enemy occupied villages, mostly on Akyab Island. All returned safely.”
