AUSTRALIA’S WOOL CLIP
WORTH MORE THAN £70,000,000 THIS YEAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.50 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. Australia’s wool clip this year will be worth more than £70,000,000. Figures issued by the Central Wool Committee indicate that about two-thirds of the clip has been appraised. A total of 2,200,000 bales which have already been dealt with were valued at an average of 14.25 d per lb., greasy. The contracct price is 15.45 d. An equalisation payment, to be made next July, is therefore likely.
