WORK AT OPAKI PREPARATIONS FOR WOODVILLE. LOCAL HORSES EXPECTED TO DO WELL. Locally trained horses have been carrying out steady exercise work at the Opaki racecourse in preparation for the Woodville Jockey Club’s meeting on February 20. Several members o£ the teams o£ trainers T. R. George and A. Jenkins have been nominated, and it is anticipated that locally-trained horses will make a good showing. EGMONT MEETING. Tomorrow the Egmont Racing Club will hold the meeting which was postponed from last week. The following horses will probably find favour with the public:— Juvenile Handicap: Keite-He, Etianthus, Expedient. Highweight Handicap: Student Prince, Alchemy, Youpg Jim. Flying Handicap: Black Robe, Polario, Prince Plato. Nolan Hack Cup: Frustration, Valsheen, Golden Acre. Egmont Cup:,. Artic Dawn, Imperium, Nightray. ' Trial Stakes: War Effort, Rosy Dawn, Plato Boy. Tonks Stakes: Daljarrock, Duality, Come Time. Tokaora Hack Handicap: Sunblaze, Manpower, Radio Call.
