STOCK MARKET

SALE AT ADDINGTON BEEF PRICES DECLINE. STORE LAMBS SELL WELL. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, February 10. There were big yardings in all sections at Addington today. The price of beef receded about .a 100 pounds, but there was little change in fat sheep values. Another large entry of store lambs sold well. „ , There was a large attendance of buyers and, following rain on the previous day, competition for all lines was very keen. The entry included several large station lines of up to 1500 head, all these meeting with a very sound sale. MASTERTON EWE FAIR A VERY GOOD SALE. KEEN COMPETITION FOR BEST LINES. The Associated Auctioneers’ report as follows: We held our first ewe fair of the season in the Colombo Road yards, Masterton, yesterday, when a yarding comprising 2000 ewes of all ages was submitted to a big attendance. The sale created wide interest and several outside buyers were present. Generally the ewes were not in very good condition, the 2-ths especially being under size and in low condition. We have to report a very good sale. The best lines were keenly sought after and made values higher than expectations. The small 2-th ewes and faulty mouth older ewes were hard to quit, but nevertheless practically a total clearance was effected. Nearly all the main lines were bought by local farmers. The following are the prices of some of the main lines:—2-th ewes, a/c O. A. Bunny 27s 3d, a/c Mrs E. E. Wilson 275, G. & J. Moore 24s 3d and 21s Id, Colin Deans 245, Mrs G. M.
