RIFLE INSPECTION

MASTERTON HOME GUARD BATTALION. All members of the Masterton Home Guard Battalion who are holding rifles which have not been inspected at Battalion Headquarters since January 1, 1943, must deliver them to Battalion Headquarters before February 20. The order is particularly urgent in the case of non-active members and those who have been transferred to the Battalion Pool.

It is stated that there are a number of non-active men retaining rifles and who are not attending parades. The Battalian Adjutant states that any nonactive member or any man transferred to the Battalion Pool who does not hand in his rifle will have his name handed to the police for attention.
