LORRIES IN QUEEN STREET 1 (To the Editor;) Sir—Could- you inform- me if it is necessary for lorries* carting wet gra- j vel to pass through Queen Street, mak-’K“ ing it very unpleasant for both pedes-' trians and cyclists, besides congesting the traffic?—l am, etc., ONLY FAIR. Masterton, February 10. The Borough Engineer, Mr C. R. Mabson, said there was no need for these lorries to use Queen Street. The Borough Inspector had drawn the attention of lorry-drivers to the matter on previous occasions and told them they must use the back streets. The—complaint now made would* be dealt with similarly.
