BRANCH POST OFFICE
SUGGESTION BY TRUSTEE. TO RELIEF QUEEN STREET TRAFFIC. “A branch Post Office in the suburban area would take a good deal of traffic away from Queen Street,” stated Mr E. G. Eton at last night’s meeting of the Masterton Trust Lands Trust when brief reference was made to the proposals to widen Queen Street. Mr J. Macfarlane Laing said that the amount of business handled by the Post Office had grown enormously. A suburban Post Office would in the future become a necessity. Mr H. H. Daniell said that as the Trust was the biggest landlord in Queen Street it should hear all about the Borough Engineer’s proposals. As the Engineer would be speaking on the proposals at the next meeting of the Masterton Rotary Club he invited all ths Trustees to be present at the meeting. The invitation was accepted.
