ON JAPANESE IN BURMA NEARLY 30 TONS OF BOMBS DROPPED ON RANGOON. BRITISH & AMERICAN UNITS IN ACTION. LONDON, February 8. Nearly thirty tons of bombs were dropped last night on the Japanese-held port of Rangoon, in Burma. The raid was made by R.A.F. manned Liberator bombers. Earlier, two separate Blenheim forces were out doing damage in Burma. One smashed up a Japanese-held village and the other attacked Japanese motor transport between Mandalay and Rangoon. American fighters also took a hand in attacking targets in Eastern Burma. They shot up 30 trucks carrying Japanese troops.
