THE RUSSIANS HAVE FLASHED THE NEWS OF A FURTHER VICTORY—THE CAPTURE OF THE IMPORTANT ENEMY BASE OF KURSK, A KEY SUPPLY POINT FOR THE GERMANS SINCE LAST WINTER. Kursk is on the Moscow-Orel-Khar-kov-Crimea railway, and is the hinge which links the Germans in the northern half of the front with those in the south.
