IN WEATHER FORECASTING PREDICTED BY SIR HUBERT „ WILKINS. BEARING ON PRODUCTION OF FOOD. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) RUGBY, January 29. Sir Hubert Wilkins, the explorer and scientist, who is on his way to Washington, predicts, according to an Ottawa message, that in the post-war world scientific long-range weather forecasting will play a big part in the future of human society. It will, he says, make possible the planning of food requirements a year in advance. Sir Hubert has been doing investigation work for the United Statq» Army organisation in the Far North.
