AUCKLAND AND PAHIATUA MEETINGS GOOD FIELDS ENGAGED. Followers of the turf from the Wairarapa who are able to make the journey to Otaki on Saturday for the Pahiatua Racing Club’s meeting will be provided with a good day’s racing. Good fields are carded and with form pretty well exposed by recent meetings punters should not be far astray. The principal race on the card, the Pahiatua Cup, should see a cose contest between Arctic Dawn, Classform, Alethea, winner of the N.Z. Oaks, and Triple Crown. In the other races on the card horses of fairly even quality are engaged. The public will most likely prefer: Maiden Race: Royal Counsellor,. Midian Star,, Full night.
