STATE THEATRE

»■-.-..— DOUBLE PROGRAMME. The picture showing tonight, “Rings on her Fingers,” tells how, languishing behind the girdle counter of a department store is Susan Miller (Gene Tierney) i dreams about beautiful clothes and the glamour she can never hope to have. In walks Mary Worthington (Spring Byington) accompanied by Warren (Laid Cregar), a pail' of sharpers who operate as the mother and uncle of a pretty girl in order to separate millionaires from their money. They convince Sue they are presenting her with an opportunity to get all of the things she’s dreamed of. The trio make tracks to Palm Beach, to trap a millionaire. Exciting scenes follow. The other main feature is a lively witty comedy, “Moon Over Her Shoulder,” the story of a writer on marriage poblems who neglects his wife for his work and then finds that his suggestion that she get herself a hobby does not work out quite as he anticipated. The reason is that the “hobby” is a personable young man with a yacht. Lynn Bari, John Sutton and Dan Dailey are the principals in this entertaining picture.
