TWO AIRMEN KILLED
» — NIGHT FLYING CRASH, TRAGEDY IN SOOTH ISLAND. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Two members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, both residents of Wanganui, lost their lives during a night flying test at a South Island air station on Wednesday when the aircraft crashed. The personnel concerned were:— Sergeant Louis John Norfolk Gumbley. (Father, Mr C. N. Gumbley, 64 Bignqll Street, Wanganui). Acting Corporal Eric Courtney Bell. (Mother, Mrs J. C. Bell, Springvale Road, Wanganui).
