YOUTH DROWNED
IN MANAWATU RIVER. (By Telegraph—Press Association..” PALMERSTON N„ January 28. William Yale, aged 18, was drowned in the Manawatu River while swimming at the Ballance bridge today. His body was recovered in 18ft of water by the Rt. Rev. Monsignor A. J. [Mcßae, Wellington, who was a member of a picnic party nearby.
