CONTINUED BY ALLIED AIRCRAFT RAILWAY COMMUNICATIONS BLASTED. RIVER AND COSTAL SHIPPING ATTACKED. LONDON, January 27. The Anglo-American air offensive in Burma was continued yesterday. United States bombers attacked Jap-anese-controlled railways. One bomber formation raided the railway yards at Mandalay and others attacked railway communications in Northern Burma. An important railway bridge was damaged. A. moving train was bombed and traffic held up. British aircraft again raided the important Japanese aerodrome at Toungoo, where several tons of bombs were dropped. River and'-coastal shipping in Western Burma were also attacked. All the British and United States aircraft returned safely.
