ALFREDTON
PATRIOTIC SOCIETY SUCCESSFUL EUCHRE PARTY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Patriotic Society held a successful euchre party on Saturday evening. The winners at cards were: Ladies: Miss E. Mac Lean; men, Mr. A. Weston. The following goods were donated and auctioned by Mr. H. Burch:— Plums, donated by Mrs. G. Napier, realised 16/-; vegetables donated by Mr C. Leach, 17/-; red beet donated by Mrs. E. J. McLean, 4/-; walnuts donated by Mrs. A. Weston, 4/-. A competition for two boxes of chocolates realised £2 75., and were won by Mrs. J. H. McDonald and Mr. F. McDonald. A gift of l}lb. of tea, made by Mrs. G. Higginson, brought £1 6s, and was won by Mr. B. Rolls. Personal Items. Mrs. E. George is visiting Welling- I ton. j Mrs. S.
