SUPPLY OF MILK A CONSIDERABLE DECREASE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The supply of milk to the local cheese factory has dropped considerably as the result of the dry weather. The' output of cheese, however, shows an increase as compared with the corresponding period last season. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs Taurau, who have been visiting relatives in Wangaehu, have returned home. Mrs A. Te Maari, Junr., and her father are visitors from Tolaga Bay. Mrs J. A. Sutherland has returned from Lower Hutt. Mr and Mrs Sutherland, who were the guests of Mr and Mrs Gillies, have returned to Wellington. Mrs Collins is the guest of Miss N. McDougall. Messrs M. Herangi and J. Carter attended a meeting of the Wairarapa Tribal Executive Committee held at Greytown at the weekend. Mrs Rangi has been on a visit to Wellington. The death occurred at the Karitane Home, Rototawai, recently of the infant twin son of Mr and Mrs J. Riwai. the funeral took place at Kohunui. Sawmill to Operate. It is reported that a Wellington sawmilling concern will shortly erect a mill in this district for the purpose of milling pinus insignus trees. Dangerous Approaches. Complaints are being made by motorists concerning the dangerous approaches to some of the bridges in this, district. The bridge adjacent, to the Maori Settlement is considered unsafe, i due to some of the flooring having decayed. Shearing Held Up. Shearing operations which are nearly completed in this district, were again interrupted by rain during the weekend. However, the rain proved very beneficial to pastures which were fast drying up.-
