NIGHT FLYING
MASTERTON RESIDENTS DISTURBED. PRACTICE OF AUTHORITIES. Some Masterton residents complained this morning that they had not been able to obtain much sleep last night on account of the noise made by nightflying aircraft. Every effort, it is stated, is made, to carry out night flying with as little inconvenience as possible and the practice is to accomplish it as quickly as circumstances permit, rather than extend it over several nights. So far there has been little night flying in this district compared with other centres. It appears that it is not always possible to avoid flying over the town on such occasions, as the course taken depends on wind and other factors.
