WEDDING
BELL-WILLIAMS The Methodist Church, Masterton, was the scene of a pretty wedding on Saturday afternoon when Mr and Mrs C. L. Williams’s youngest daughter, Orma Crisp, was married to Alexander Murdoch, youngest son of Mrs A. Bell, of Masterton, and the late Mr D. Bell, of Scotland. The church was beautifully decorated with pale pink and blue hydrangeas by friends of the bride. The ceremony was conducted by the Rev F. H. Parker and Miss Donald was at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, was attired in a graceful gown of cream bridal satin with which she wore a tulle veil embroidered in a Scottish thistle design and held in place by a top-knot of hand-made orange blossoms and wore a string of Richlieu pearls, kindly lent by her aunt. A shower bouquet of roses, carnations and sweet peas was carried. The bride’s cousin, Miss Myrna Eberhardt, of Wellington, attended her as bridesmaid. She wore a charming pink frock with shoulder length veil of pink tulle and a top-knot of pink and blue flowers. She carried a shower bouquet of pale pink roses, carnations and sweet peas. The best man was Pte. N. Wilson, of Master ton. At the reception in the Cosy Tearooms, Mrs Williams received the guests wearing a smart navy and white ensemble with hat to match and a shoulder spray of red carnations. When Mr and Mrs Bell left for the north on their honeymoon the bride wore a powder blue ensemble with navy accessories.
