MEETING AT TRENTHAM. A WIN FOR STAIRWAY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Wellington Racing Club’s Anniversary meeting is being concluded at Trentham today in fine weather. Owing to a train accident the races were an hour late in starting. Results: — Mungaroa Handicap. 1 mile and 3 furlongs: 6/7, Sairway, 9.12 (Barry), 1; 5/4, Nightclass, 10.3 (Walters), 2; 8/9, Gunda Dm, 9.3 (Stokes), 3. Stylosa was fourth. Won by a length; half a length. Time, 2.21%. Scr.: Kinsman. Trial Plate, 7 furlongs: 4/3, Snowman, 8.0 (Atkins), 1; 3/4, Hippodrama, 8.0 (Ellis), 2: 8/5, Spirit, 8.0 I Carroll), 3. Scr.: Cramond Bay. Won bv a .nose; length. Silver Mask was fourth. Time, 1.271/4. Transcript fell, but the jockey was not injured.
