Vith Alice Faye, Carmen Miranda, iohn Payne and Cesar Romero in the itarring roles, the film is set in the lapital city, showing Havana with all ts beauty in the naturalness of technijolour. Alice Faye portrays a New fork salesgirl who has carefully budgeted herself for several years in order o treat herself to a Havana vacation. Vhen her ship is caught on a reef she ’efuses to sign a release to the shipping jompany until she has had, and enjoyed, her Havana vacation. The comjany’s representative, John Payne, postpones his wedding to make sure she has i grand time. In a magnificent Havana light club, the exotic Carmen Miranda, vho had captured the imagination of American film audiences in her previous screen appearances with her unisual songs and dances, does a spectacular new number with 200 feminine lancers—“ The Nango.” New tunes in ‘Week-end in Havana” are: “When I Love I Love,’ “The Man With the Lollysop Song,’ “A Week-end in Havana,” ‘Tropical Madge,” and “The Nango.” There will be a matinee at 2.15 o’clock on Friday afternoon.
