Safe Depot.—The ■ famous AMP. (absent-minded professor) has hit a new high. On his way to class the other day he stopped at his doctor’s office to see if he had a cold coming on. The doctor felt his pulse and said: “That’s all right. Let me see your tongue.” The professor complied. “That seems to be all right, too,” continued the doctor. “But why the postage stamp?” “Ah,” beamed the professor gratefully, “so that’s where I left it!” A Scotsman visited Niagara Falls with an American friend. As they watched the great rush of water, the latter said: “There’s a story that if yovt throw a penny into the Falls it will bring you luck.” “Is that so?” inquired the Scot. He considered a moment and then asked, hopefully: “Ha’ ye a long bit of string?”
