Shepherd, Hayward Street. Miss M. Davis, of the local Post and Telegraph staff, is on annual leave and is visiting New Plymouth. Misses Shirley and Patricia Card. “Flatspur,” Masterton, are the guests of Mr J. W. Card, Johnson Street. Mrs C. Buck, Underhill Road, has returned home after spending a few days in Wellington. COSY THEATRE “APPOINTMENT FOR LOVE.” The programme at the Cosy Theatre tonight is a particularly good one. The principal attraction is “Appointment for Love," a brilliant comedy-drama in which Charles Boyer and Margaret Sullavan are starred. It will surprise in that, whereas Boyer and Miss Sullavan have been largely occupied with heart-throb drama of late, they here turn their talents delightfully to com-edy-drhma which is almost pure farce at times.
