INITIATIVE IN WAR
HAS PASSED TO UNITED NATIONS DECLARATION BY MR ATTLEE. GROUNDS FOR JUSTIFIABLE CONFIDENCE. LONDON, January 19. The depnty-Prime Minister, Mr Attlee, in a review of the war today, told the House of Commons that the initiative had now passed into Hie hands of the United Nations. They could look forward to 1943, he said, with justifiable confidence.
