CELEBRATION OF NINETIENTH BIRTHDAY. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 17. General Sir lan Hamilton celebrated his 90th birthday today with a party for 90 people, including Mrs Churchill and Lord Gort. General Hamilton entered the Army in 1873 and served in the Afghan War, the Boer War (chief of staff to Lord Kitchener), the Nile Expedition, the Burmese Expeditiftn, the Chitral relief force, the Tirah campaign, and the Great War. He commanded the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force of 1915 —Gallipoli campaign.
