DAYLIGHT ATTACKS

ON LILLE AND OTHER CENTRES MADE BY ALLIED PLANES. ANOTHER NIGHT RAID ON RUHR. LONDON, January 13. United States Flying Fortresses from Britain attacked the industrial town of Lille, in Northern France, today. R.A.F. Bostons, escorted by Spitfires flown by American pilots, attacked the airfield at St Nazaire and Beauforts attacked the airfield at Abbeville. Reports of these Allied operations are still coming in. R.A.F. Bomber Command planes raided Germany’s war factories in the Ruhr last night for the seventh night in the past ten. One plane was lost.
