SOVIET GRATITUDE

FOR ANGLO-AMERICAN AID DECLARED BY LITVINOV. CONTRIBUTION TO VICTORY.. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 12. In a broadcast over all United States networks, the Soviet Ambassador, M. Maxim Litvinov, paid a tribute to British and American aid to Russia. “The Red Army and the Soviet people deeply appreciate the help received from the United States and Britain,” he said. “I am sure the American workers producing munitions and farmers cultivating foodstuffs to be sent to Russia experience great satisfaction when they realise that in this way they are contributing to the achievements of the Soviet troops and the victory of the Allied nations.”
