RIOTS IN PARIS
ARMED MEN FIGHT POLICE. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, January 12. A pitched battle in Paris on December 27, when armed ration card rioters invaded the office of a suburban mayor, is reported by the Hamburg “Fremdenblatt.” Shots were exchanged, a policeman was killed and a rioter severely wounded. The police took the injured man to hospital, which the rioters then stormed. The police called up reinforcements and dispersed the crowd.
