BRITISH AIR OFFENSIVE IN BURMA NO LOSS OF PLANES IN RECENT OPERATIONS. SOME LAND FIGHTING IN PROGRESS. LONDON, January 11. In Burma there have been more land encounters between the British and the Japanese forces. Fighting is going on along both sides of a river. R.A.F. Blenheims kept up their offensive operations yesterday day and night against Japanese-held villages in the Akyab district. In Northern Burma railway and other targets were attacked. Once again, the Japanese failed to bring down any aircraft.
