Because of dwindling German coal deliveries, a Stockholm cablegram states, Denmark is facing the most critical fuel situation in its history. Only 11,000 tons arrived during the first week in January, representing one day’s consumption. All textiles factories expected to cease production on January 11. Some industries are already brought to a standstill.
