PLEASURE MOTORING
BANNED IN EASTERN UNITED STATES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright! WASHINGTON, January 7. All pleasure and non-essential motoring has been banned from today in. 17 eastern States and the district of Columbia by the Price Administrator, Mr Henderson. Pleasure driving will be interpreted broadly, and when a police officer questions a motorist believed to be committing a breach of the new regulations, the burden of proof will rest wholly on the motorist.
