STATE THEATRE
“THE WESTERNER.” One of the greatest dramas of its kind ever brought to the screen, “The Westerner,” which will be shown at the State Theatre tonight, has all the qualities which go to make up a picture that patrons will appreciate. It covers a new angle in the particular type of story it represents, and there is not a dull moment in the picture. Ex-' cellently presented, the acting is of a very high standard, the various scenes calling for the best efforts of the artists concerned. It is a thrilling drama which should make an immediate appeal, it being claimed to be the most magnificent outdoor spectacle ever filmed. In emotional intensity it is said to rival “Wuthering Heights.” The leading roles are taken by Gary Cooper, Walter Brennan and Doris Davenport. ________
