CARTERTON SALE. LATE RATES MAINTAINED. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co.. Ltd., report as follows on their Carterton sale yesterday:—An exceptionally heavy yarding of sheep, cattle and pigs came forward. Prices were on a par with late rates, and practically a total clearance was affected under the hammer. The following are some of the realisations:— Sheep: Fat b.f. lambs. 21s. 21s 9d to 22s 6d: fat hoggets (woolly), 225, 23s Id, 24s to 27s Id; prime heavy fat wethers, to 255; fat wethers, to 235: fat ewes, 10s. 10s 3d, 10s I7d to Us sd: light fat ewes, to 9s: store woolly ewes, to 12s: store shorn ewes, to 3s; small ewe lambs. 7s. 8s 9d to 10s 8d; b.f. rape lambs, to 18s 3d; medium b.f. lambs. 13s sd, 14s, 14s 3d, 14s 6d to 14s 7d; small b.f. lambs, 10s 4d, Us, Ils 3d, Ils 4d to 'Us 9d; woolly wether lambs, to 13s 9d: shorn wether lambs, to 12s: medium ewe lambs, to 12s Id; woolly wether lambs. 12s 2d to 16s; small wether lambs, to 8s Id; cull lambs, 5s Id, 5s 3d, 6s 3d, 7s 3d to 7s 6d. Cattle: Fat Hereford cows, to £7 13s: light fat P.A. cows, £6 10s to £6 15s; fat cows, ex-dairy, £5. £5 7s 6d, £5 10s, £6, £6 2s 6d, £6 10s. £6 15s to £8 7s 6d; forward cows, £4 2s, £4 Bs, £4 14s to £4 18s; store cows, £2, £2 7s 6d to £3 17s 6d; cows and calves, £4, £5 Is to £5 ss; yearling heifers, to £4: springing heifers, to £5 10s: fat heifers, to £6; bulls, £4 10s, £4 15s, £5 10s, £6. £6 15s, £7, £8 to £ll.
