MANUFACTURE OF RADIOS
BANNED IN AUSTRALIA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day* 11.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The manufacture of radios for civilian use has been banned in Australia. The Minister for War Organisation of Industry, Mr Dedman, (announcing this decision, said existing supplies of radio parts were necessary for service equipment, while parts left over 'after service requirements had been fulfilled were needed for the maintenance of existing civilian sets.
