NEW YEAR HOLIDAYS
MASTERTON POST OFFICE HOURS. The following hours will be observed by the Masterton Post Office during the New Year holidays:— New Year’s Day, Friday: The Post Office will be closed in all branches. No mails will be despatched, and postmen’s deliveries will be suspended. Mails to Homewood, Te Wharau, Westmere and Tinui will be despatched on Thursday, the mails closing at the Post Office at 6.30 a.m. The telegraph office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon, and the telephone exchange will be open continuously. On Saturday, January 2, the Post Office will be closed in all branches. No mails will be despatched and postmen’s deliveries will be suspended. Private bags usually despatched to Bideford will be forwarded on Thursday, the mail closing at the Post Office at 10.15 a.m. The telegraph office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon, and the telephone exchange will be open continuously. / The usual hours of .attendance will be observed on Monday, December 28.
