NEW ZEALAND FORCES OVERSEAS The rates for parcels and cablegrams for members of the fighting forces overseas are as follow: — PARCELS. Up to 31bs _ 1/From 31bs. to 71bs. -2/Perishable goods and foodstuffs should be specially packed. CABLEGRAMS TO MEMBERS OF THE ARMY. AIR FORCE AND NAVAL PERSONNEL ABROAD A “fixed" text concession rate cablegram scheme is now available. A flat rate of 2/6 is made for each telegram, irrespective nf the number of texts (limited to three) which require to be forwarded. The addresses are to be the same as for letters. Folder type cards containing the full list of texts are available to members of the public on application. Cablegrams containing a text other than one of those indicated may still be forwarded by any person who so desires, but the special concession-rate of 2/6 a message will not apply to such telegrams, which must be paid for at one of the ordinary commercial rates and the address charged for.
REMITTANCES. Anyone wishing to remit money to members of the forces overseas may do so either by post or cablegram through the Base Pay Office, Wellington, ana remittances to soldiers must not be forwarded by any other means.
