A North African communique reports that between the date of their landing (November 8) and December 26, the Allies destroyed 277., enemy planes—l2B by the R.A.F, 102 by the United States Air Force, 47 by antiaircraft fire and night fighters. The United States Air Force lost 59 and the R.A.F. 44 planes.
