PLUNKET SOCIETY NURSES’ REPORT. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the bi-monthly meeting of the , Greytown Plunket Society, Mrs Maddison occupied the chair. Others present were Mesdames Sherman, Wiggins, Anker, Smallwood. Oakey, Alexander. Richards, Gregor and Bunny. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Burns, Everitt, Bayliss and J. Bull. The nurse reported for the months of October and November as follows:— ’ New cases: Mothers, 2 and 2; babies, 2 and 2. Visits ’to homes: New cases, 3 and 8; old cases, 38 and 36; older children, 8 and 3Visits to rooms: Adults, 29 and 19; babies, 28 and 19; older children, 10 and 4. The general progress of babies is good. TABLE TENNIS The members of the Kahutara Bible Class paid a visit to Greytown on Saturday night and played a table tennis match against the Greytown Methodist Club. The following were the results (Greytown players mentioned first):— Combined doubles: Miss M. Keltie and White lost to Miss C. Bargh and Hood, 6/8; Mrs Ross and Hayman lost to Miss E. Hubbard and E. Nikolaison, 3/6; Mrs Ward and Miss B. Sheddon beat Miss N. Pope and Hubbard, 6/2; Miss N. Keltie and. K. White beat Miss I. Bargh and Juno, 6/2; Miss L. Sugrue and Lorraine beat Miss M. Pope and R. Bargh, 6/4; Miss M. Gates and J. Bargh lost to Mrs Bargh and Pottinger, 1/6. t Ladies’ doubles: Miss M. Keltie and Mrs Ross lost to Misses C. Bargh and E. Hubbard, 3/6; Mrs Ward and Miss N. Keltie lost to Misses N. Pope and I.' Bargh, 5/7; Misses Lyn. Sugrue and M. Gates beat Miss M. Pope and Mrs Bargh, 6/3. Doubles: White and Hayman beat Hood and Nikolaison, 6/2; B. Sheddon and Ken White lost to Hubbard and Juno, 1/2; L. Sugrue and J. Bargh lost to Bargh and Pottinger, 0/6. TOWN HALL DOUBLE FEATURE BILL. Tomorrow night there will be presented a big double feature programme, “Sailors on Leave” and “Desperate Cargo.” The former 4s an outstanding comedy, with William Sundigan and Shirley Ross in the chief roles, and the latter a drama of a high standard in which the principal characters are portrayed by Ralph Byrd and Carol Hughes.
