Reports from Kunming indicate that the Japanese are tightening their hold on the Siamese Government because of increasing unrest throughout Siam. A correspondent of the United Press of Great Britain says that Japanese troops intervene whenever differences arise between Siamese and Japanese. Siam is threatened with famine because the autumn floods have wiped out the rice lands and Japanese have seized the current supply.
