LACK OF CONFIDENCE

IN MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE. DECLARED BY PAHIATUA FARMERS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PAHIATUA, This Day. The Pahiatua branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union passed a resolution expressing complete lack of confidence in the Minister of Agriculture (Mr J. G. Barclay) alleging that, instead of being guardian of the farmers’ interests, he had demonstrated that he was actively opposed to them. The resolution continued that the Minister administering the portfolio of agriculture should be selected because of his understanding of and sympathy with the farmers’ way of life.
