MAURICEVILLE WEST

COMBINED PICNIC STATE AND SUNDAY SCHOOLS. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was fine weather for the combined State School and Sunday School picnic held at Mauriceville West,, and a most enjoyable time was experienced. During the afternoon Mr Trass, chairman of the school committee, presented prizes to the pupils. Following the singing of a Christmas carol, Mr and Mrs Forsberg gave a present m the form of a book to each Sunday School child. Father Christmas was present and distributed gifts to the children from a well-laden tree. The Sunday School children showed their appreciation of Mr and Mrs Forsberg’s devoted service to them by making them a gift. Miss Grant, school teacher at the Mauriceville West school, was also made a presentation by the school children. A vote of thanks was accorded to the committee and to the parents and friends who had helped to make the occasion so enjoyable.
