AFFILIATION SOUGHT WITH LABOUR PARTY. ASSURANCE OF LOYAL CO-OPERATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, Noon.) LONDON, December 21. The Communist Party in Britain has applied for affiliation with the Labour Party. Mr Harry Pollit, chairman of the Communist Party, in a letter to the secretary of the Labour Party, said: “My committee feel that the experiences gained in .the course of the united struggle against Fascism have shown the tremendous part a united working class movement can play, not only in winning the war, but in solving the serious problems of reconstruction when peace has been achieved. The Communist Party is fully prepared to accept all the obligations of being affiliated to the Labour Party and loyally to. carry out decisions reached at Labour Party conferences.”
