OPERATIONS IN TUNISIA NO SIGN OF BIG SCALE LAND FIGHTING. MORE HEAVY AIR ATTACKS. LONDON, December 20. There is still no sign of big-scale land fighting in Tunisia. Patrols are active, especially towards the south. Middle East bombers arc also taking a hand in the Tunisian situation. Tunis and La Gorlette were raided on Friday night. Some of the first-class targets hit were a railway yard, oil tanks and a landing quay. One of the fires started could be seen 40 miles away. Other fires were started among objectives in Sicily.
