TORPEDOED BV BRITISH SUBMARINES WHEN MAKING FOR NORTH AFRICA, ONE BUN ASHORE & OTHERS BELIEVED SUNK. LONDON. December 18. British submarines have sunk more Axis supply ships on their way to North Africa. An enemy ship off Tunis, heavily laden with motor transport, was hit by a torpedo. She was run aground, sinking. Two more enemy freighters in the Gulf Of Naples, part of a convoy escorted by destroyers, were hit by torpedoes, B.qth are believed to have been sunk.
