SITTING AT MASTERTON LARGE NUMBER OF CASES •4 DEALT WITH. SINE DIE ADJOURNMENTS.The Masterton Armed Forces Appeal Board concluded its sitting in Masterton yesterday afternoon. There were present: Messrs T. Jordan (chairman), L T .Daniell, F. Cole and G. F. Whitlock (secretary and Crown representative). Appeals lodged by the Director of National Service on behalf of Thomas Borthwick and Sons (A’asia), Ltd., were dealt with as follows: — Adjourned sine die: Harry McLeod Ewen, pie woolpicker; Charles Alexander Frances, pelt classer; John Thomas Baxter Ryder and William Fraser McDonald, wool classers; Walter Ernest O. B. Mosen, hide flesher; Frank Charles s Palmer, stockman; John Edward Gordon, fireman; Thos. Stanley H. Nixon, fitter; Eric Arthur William Pool, electrician; Arthur James Chappell and Harold E. Trass, beef butchers. Adjourned to June 30, 1943: Edward James Carter, beef boner; James Ernest Taplin, Donald Douglas Lochore, Wilfred Oliver Geange, Thomas Henry Ftzmaurice, Thomas Barton Edwards, mutton butchers; Lawrence Kenneth Brady, mutton boner Appeals lodged by the Director of National Service for the following were adjourned sine die: Edward Fitzgerald Barry .police officer; John Douglas Gilies, police officer; Alexander Gordon Hogg, police officer; Eian Bruce McCallum, police officer; Robert J. Berry, police constable; Sydney Phillip Kingston, linesman (P. and T. Department). An appeal lodged by Dr. John Rich was adjourned sine die. Appeals lodged by the Masterton Fire Board for Charles Richard Reid, auxiliary fireman and Mown Edward Haughey, fireman-driver, were adjourned sine die, Appeals lodged by the Director of National Service on behalf of New Zealand Railways were dealt with as follows:—
