RENEWED ATTACKS
ON ENEMY AIRFIELDS IN NEW GEORGIA MADE FROM GUADALCANAL. SUCCESSES OF AMERICAN PATROLS. LONDON, December 16. American dive-bombers based on Guadalcanal have renewed their attacks against the airfield the Japanese are trying to build at Munda, New Georgia. On Guadalcanal itself, American patrols penetrated the enemy defences and destroyed two Japanese machinegun posts, killing the gun crews.
