BAPTIST CHURCH
SUNDAY SCHOOL GATHERING. CONCERT AND PRIZE-GIVING. The Baptist Hall was gaily decorated with flowers, etc., when the annual concert and prize-giving took place. Many parents and friends of the scholars attended and thoroughly enjoyed the programme presented by the children. ' . , , , Mr W. Teeboon, the superintendent, was chairman, and special thanks were passed to Mrs Noye and. Mrs Teeboon for their efforts in training the children to such a high standard. Items by the junior scholars occupied the first half of the programme, and their acting of nursery rhymes provided a very dainty and pretty scene. The senior scholars depicted a negro group with choruses, interspersed with individual items. > Prizes or cards were presented to every scholar by Pastor D. R. Edwards, and the kindergarten presented their parents with calendars which they had themselves made. After the devotions, which were led by Pastor Edwards, supper was served and a very interesting and enjoyable gathering then brought to a close.
