RONGOKOKAKO

WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Rongokokako Women’s Institute was held in the local hall recently, Mrs W. J. O'Neil presiding over a fair attendance of members. The usual Christmas party was given the school children and a programme of games was enjoyed by all. The children in return gave a display of folk dancing and musical items. The competitions for the month resulted as follows: —Soup plate of flowers: Mrs J. Payne 1. Miss Ursula Payne 2. Best flower (large): Mrs B. Morriss 1. Miss Ursula Payne 2; small, Mrs B. Morriss 1, Mrs S. Mallon 2. Mrs O'Neil thanked everyone for having made the gathering, such a success. Mr Winter, on behalf of the school children, suitably replied. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses.
