FEDERAL ELECTION
NEXT JULY OR AUGUST. ANTICIPATED BY MR HUGHES. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 1.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. A Federal election next July or August has been forecast by the leader of the United Australia Party, Mr W. M. Hughes. He warned the party to be prepared for any eventuality. Normally the Federal elections would have been held next September, but Mr Hughes held that the differences within the Labour Party on the “conscription issue” would impel early elections.
