OF SKIES OVER ATLANTIC ESTABLISHED BY ROYAL AIR FORCE. IN SPITE OF FOCKE WULF. (British' Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 9.50 a.m.) RUGBY. December 14. “The danger of the Focke Wulf has virtually been eliminated and we now have almost complete control of the skies over the Atlantic.” said WingCommander Russell, of the R.A.F. Coastal Command, speaking at Liverpool. “The U-boats are becoming more wily but in spite of this the Battle of the Atlantic is progressing very- favourably. Our Coastal and Fighter patrols have considerably less trouble from enemy air interception.”
